Asked for a celebrity shot during the end rope of a barn burner of a best out of three βSeamless Sundayβsβ divisional round finale and several senior participants painfully obliged. Slid in the off center sleeve gap as I was hesitant in the crowded muck, nevertheless I tubed my way to a turnstile slip card for a quivering, almost lame duck of a piston punch that nearly puckered. Weβre talking third throw here, but the match wasnβt heated and that was just about that the only highlight. You see, sitting pretty Jack Danes sealed it for Red as he always does. Razzle dazzle he does not. A man firm on principles. A bludgeoning towards the tail end. Sail one left. Pop the wrong piston during an engine huddle. But, what can you do? The guys going back to back in the closing position all captures and lead off is even worse for adversaries. Sometimes when a man is that hot, all you can do is pray. Blue is not without pride. Mustered what little dignity I could carry out, a doggy bag of despair, then called it a day.

Curling season goes from October through late March and this is a really great place to learn the game or improve your game. Several times during the season, there are learn to curl events, and the team is so encouraging and helpful that you'll think you're the next Olympic superstar after your first try. There are two curling sheets, with a comfortable warm area where you can get a drink and watch the activity on the ice. Overall, it's a great place to enjoy curling and hang out with some great people.

Visited recently for the open house and had a blast. Their pricing is a bit on the high side for me so I probably won't be signing up (not to mention their rosters were already full when I visited thanks in part to the open house as well as of course the fact that the 2018 winter olympics were on TV when I went). I enjoyed the VFW hall vibe and the fact that they had a well-stocked bar with decent beers on draught. Felt like a great place to hang out!
